Hi guys
first time blog from me so here we go. i wanted to keep anyone who wishes top follow the PACE project informed so please come visit from time to time to see what i have been up to.
at the moment i am very excited about getting my DISC GOLF project off the ground (pun intended ahem...). i only got the baskets installed just over a month ago but already i'm hooked. i usually spend the summer playing golf...but for now that is on the back burner. 2009 is all about disc golf!
it has not been easy getting this course into Hall Garth Park, Hornsea, but after some very kind advice and guidance from Hornsea Town Council, we have finally got there, or thereabouts. the new 9 baskets course is looking wonderful and in comparison to courses around the UK, it has to rated as one of the prettiest.
i understand that disc golf is not to everyone tastes but it does have a lotn to offer. equipment is cheap (pro disc at around £7), the course is free to play and its easy to learn, just about anybody can play! the course is now available to play 24/7 so i am not worried if its popularity isn't quite at its peak yet. things do take time and i'm prepared to be patient. meanwhile however, i will be taking community groups onto the park over October and November to teach the basic rules and techniques of disc golf (even though i'm no pro yet but do have the knack if i do say so myself). please come join me and others on the park. i'll let you know when i'm there, or if you wish, contact me and i can meet you there if you need showuing the ropes.
thanks for now and watch this space (please)
